and decomissioning lines.
•
Keep your well-estabilished business
numbers.
•
All or some conversion - transition only
Fire, Life & Safety lines, only voice lines,
only fax lines or all of the above - the
price per seat is the same.
Are you looking for pricing stability
instead of the usual fluxuation that
comes with traditional phone lines?
Are you working to transition all of your
voice, Fire, Life & Safety connections away
from copper lines but are concerned
about minimum seat requirements?
With copper decommissioning and the influx of
Fiber facilities, the stability of both accessibility and
the costs for traditional POTS services is in
question. be-LINC provides a simple and stable
transition to a solid service at an affordable price.
There are NO MINIMUM LINE COUNTS for be-LINC
as a POTS Alternative solution! Pricing is the same
whether you have 5 seats or 50.
Regulatory fees can add up to a whopping 32% of
the total POTS invoice. Leave all of those
additional costs behind by switching to the Cable
POTS Alternative of be-LINC*. *standard VoIP fees still apply
Do you want to move away from all of the
regulatory fees but still maintain reliable
connectivity?

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I just keep my copper phone lines? You can, but you'll be paying too much to outdated, lower quality
services. Plus, copper phone lines are being removed from Central Offices by the underlying carriers. Eventually,
copper phone lines will no longer be available. Costs of providing copper line service are escalating!
Are the new lines as reliable? The new technology is protected by battery power back-up in the event of office
power outages and the new VoIP lines also have automatic wireless back-up in the event of a telecom outage of
the Customer’s wired broadband connection. Also, our Network Operations Center monitors all SafeLines 24X7,
to fix issues proactively if they occur.
Will my fax machine still work? Most modern fax machines meet the T.38 telecoms standard. All these
machines should be compatible with SafeLine. If not, Lingo can offer Cloud Fax service.
Will my service go down during installation? Momentarily, we will have to switch over service to the new SafeLines.
We will agree a time for this changeover to occur.
Here are the full range of SafeLines available
Security Alarm – for all alarm and sensor lines other than Fire
Fire Alarm – for true fire alarm lines connected directly to the fire panel
Elevator – for all Elevators lines
Point of Sale – for point of sale payment machines
Pump - for data monitoring and payment machines associated with gasoline or other liquid or gas-
eous substances in tanks or pumps on the premises, where the lines are delivered close to pumps
or tanks.
ATM - Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) and other data transaction lines located in the main office or
store at the premises that are not Point of Sale
Access – for pool and gate/access lines outside the building premises
Fax – for fax use only. Please note that not all fax machines will work with SafeLine Fax. (Our
Lingo Cloud Fax can be ordered instead for a completely cloud-based fax solution as an alternative,
if your fax machine is not compatible.)
Ordering SafeLine
To upgrade your current copper voice lines to SafeLine, we need to know the following information
for each business premise location. Your Lingo Customer Care representative or Account Manager
will partner with you on this:
We just need to know your phone numbers, what each line is used for, whether you need to keep your
current phone number, and whether this phone line might be used to call 911 for first responders to be
summoned if needed. Make and model numbers and phone numbers called by alarms and elevator
phones today are also needed. Knowing your fax machine details is helpful for us to advise or learn
of machine compatibility with SafeLine, as fax machines generally need to meet the T.38 industry
standard for them to work with SafeLine.
